La Revista Mexicana de Endocrinología, Metabolismo y Nutrición se rige de acuerdo con las siguientes políticas:

La revista tendrá un nombre y diseño único, contará con licencias de publicación (incluida Creative Commons), indización nacional e internacional e ISSN. Asimismo, la revista contará con una página web propia y segura.

Se evaluarán manuscritos científicos en el área de nutrición, metabolismo y endocrinología, de procedencia nacional e internacional, en español o inglés y estudios con resultados negativos, que se apeguen a las recomendaciones internacionales de buenas prácticas.

Los manuscritos enviados serán evaluados de acuerdo con su calidad metodológica, originalidad, actualidad, relevancia, aportación científica, pertinencia a los objetivos de la Revista Mexicana de Endocrinología, Metabolismo y Nutrición y apego a principios éticos. La autoría deberá seguir los principios de COPE (https://publicationethics.org/files/COPE_DD_A4_Authorship_SEPT19_SCREEN_AW.pdf).

Se promoverá el lenguaje inclusivo. Los autores deberán expresar su conflicto de interés y serán los responsables del contenido del artículo.

La publicación se realizará en español e inglés, de manera electrónica, en acceso abierto, sin costo para autores ni lectores, y será financiada por la Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C. Cualquier financiamiento externo se realizará a través de la Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C. y será independiente al proceso y decisión editorial. Los editores evaluarán la pertinencia de la inclusión de anunciantes en la publicación.

El proceso de evaluación se realizará de manera sistematizada y ágil con calidad, transparencia, consistencia, oportunidad e incluirá la revisión por pares académicos, de manera cegada tanto para el autor como el revisor (doble ciego). Los revisores recibirán reconocimiento escrito por su participación voluntaria.

La casa editorial proveerá de una plataforma electrónica para la gestión editorial, y de un repositorio de los artículos publicados. Los editores y la casa editorial acordarán la programación editorial anual.

Los manuscritos aceptados se publicarán de manera adelantada (ahead of print). La discusión post publicación se realizará a través de las Cartas al editor. La aceptación del manuscrito para su publicación implica la cesión automática de derechos para la publicación del artículo a la Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C.

La difusión se realizará a través del sitio electrónico de la revista, correos electrónicos de miembros de la Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C. y de suscriptores al servicio de Toc Alert y podrá realizarse a través de redes sociales.

Revista Mexicana de Endocrinología, Metabolismo y Nutrición is governed according to the following policies:

Scientific manuscripts on nutrition, metabolism, and endocrinology, of national and international origin and interest, in Spanish or English, including studies with negative results, that adhere to the international recommendations of good practices will be evaluated.

The submitted manuscripts will be evaluated according to their methodological quality, originality, timeliness, relevance, scientific contribution, relevance to the objectives of Revista Mexicana de Endocrinología, Metabolismo y Nutrición, and adherence to ethical principles. The authorship must follow the principles of COPE (https://publicationethics.org/files/COPE_DD_A4_Authorship_SEPT19_SCREEN_AW.pdf).

Inclusive language will be promoted. The authors must express their conflicts of interest and they will be responsible for the content of the article.

The publication will be carried out in Spanish and English, electronically, in open access, at no cost to authors or readers, and will it be financed by Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C.. Any external financing will be made through the Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C. and will be independent of the editorial process and decision. The editors will evaluate the relevance of the inclusion of advertisers in the publication.

The evaluation process will be carried out in an agile, systematic way, with quality, transparency, consistency, opportunity, and it will include review by academic peers, blinded for both the author and the reviewer (double blind). Reviewers will receive a written acknowledgment for their voluntary participation.

The publishing house will provide an electronic platform for editorial management, and a repository of published articles. The editors and the publishing house will agree on the annual publishing schedule.

Accepted manuscripts will be published ahead of print. Post-publication discussion will take place through Letters to the Editor. The acceptance of the manuscript for its publication implies the automatic transfer of rights for the publication of the article to the Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C.

Authors or publishers may retract in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines https://publicationethics.org/sites/default/files/retraction-guidelines-cope.pdf

The editors, editorial board, editorial committee, peer reviewers and operational staff will have defined responsibilities in accordance with the Operations Manual.

The journal will implement continuous improvement processes on a regular basis, including training activities for the people involved in the editorial process.

The dissemination will be carried out through the electronic site of the journal, emails from members of the Sociedad Mexicana de Nutrición y Endocrinología, A.C. and subscribers to the Toc Alert service and can be carried out through social networks.
